Darik was the famous blacksmith in all of Greece. People from around the world came to his shop to get weapons of unimaginable power. He even makes the weapon of your choice to make by asking three questions. First of all; What creature do they want to use to help him make the weapon? He has killed hydras, chimeras, it was said he even killed a dragon to make the sword he keeps at his side. The blade was as white as snow the handle was a magnificent green wood and in the middle of the hilt was a red gem that was said to be the dragon’s eye. Second; What type of weapon do you want? He has made weapons of all kinds; swords, axes, spears, even weapons that you wouldn't think someone would ever ask to make. He even made weapon of all culture. His shop lies in Greece but he learned to make weapons made in other lands. Finally; What element do you want? His mentor Markus taught him the ability to infuse a elemental power in the weapon.

His crafts are never cheap; the weapons could cost as much as one thousand gold coins to a million. However, he has always made an exception to honorable warriors who have the right cause. He always knows whether or not the weapon is going to be use with good cause or bad, he has a rune implanted into his shop so that when he asks “why do you need a weapon forged by my hands?” the customer always tell him the truth. The blacksmiths code is always hung above his shop “Enter! The door is never locked, however if you cross my border with ill reasons then you shall be put to death. ”
One beautiful mourning a man strode into the shop and pleaded the blacksmith for a bow. Like every other time someone comes into Darik’s shop and asked for a weapon, he always asks them, “Why do you need a weapon forged by my hands?” Darik asks the lad without a second thought. “Please good sir I need it so I may strike down a boar that terrorizes my farm, I have five hundred gold to give, I am skilled with a bow, and I am a skilled hunter but I need a bow and all the other blacksmiths bows haven't killed the beast.” the Young man pleaded.

Darik touched his chin and thought about it. The lad was true with his reasons and he probably worked his heart out to make the money he is presenting him. “I only need three hundred gold coins to make the weapon you seek.” Darik finally said. He would normally charge someone who would simply want a weapon ten times more, but the young man had a strong will and a good heart, he could see it.
“Very well you want a bow? Well that answers my first question, my second is what creature do you want me to use?” Darik asked.
“How about the falcon of Telbon? It is said that it’s beak can pierce steel armor.” The farmer answered.
“Ah a very good choice since you need to kill a tough creature like a boar. Very good, now what about the element?” Darik asked.
“I want to strike down the boar but I will not torture it. Therefore I will choose lightning; no one stuck by it has ever lived any longer that the blast itself ” The farmer replied.

“I see. Well I will get the materials in no more that five days, and once I return it should only take me a day or two to assemble the bow with a full set of arrows.” Darik said, and picked up his bag and set off to the hills of Telbon. It took him two days to reach his destination but at last he finally arrived. He set up camp under a tree at the base of the hills and laid down to rest after his long journey. In the distance he heard the screeches of a falcon. A smile was brought upon his face “The hunt shall begin at the break of dawn.” He thought as sleep found him drifted of to his dreamscape.

“Ah look at that sun, it smiles upon me this morning!” Darik said the next morning as he was cooking his breakfast. As he ate his stew and bread, a feeling rushed through his body and ducked his head. As he predicted the famous Falcon of Telbon flew over him as it nearly took off his head. “You won't even let me eat breakfast eh?” Darik said. The falcon squawked back as if it was saying, “Not while i'm flapping.”

“Well then, I will just have to make you my lunch, won’t I?” Dari yelled at it. The falcon made the first move and flew right at him, Darik quickly grabbed his sword and swung at it. The bird barely dodged the attack and landed on a rock. It started to glow a bright blue as it changed it’s size to that of a young horse. “I’m going to need a bigger pot...” Darik grabbed his sword struck the ground, and out came from the ground a black cannon around twice his size. “ I got this from an Irish pirate.” Darik said, patting the weapon with a malicious laugh. He took aim and shot at the bird, the winged beast dodged the blast and squawked at him mockingly. “I wasn't aiming at you!” The blacksmith yelled at the bird. A loud sound erupted as the blast of Darik's cannon landed on the tree the bird was right under. The tree fell with a thud, and so did the bird.

Darik's face was lit with a smile as he went over to the bird’s corpse, tore out the branch that impaled the bird and made his lunch. After a very delicious meal, the blacksmith started back to get the stone of lightning from Brom, his good friend who lived fifteen miles off from his store. He built his store so close because of this fact. Brom has made it his dream to make stones and seals made from every element in every religion and belief, and he was his best customer.
“Darik! Ah my good friend how are you?” Brom said as Darik entered his shop.
“Fine Brom just fine, I need a lightning stone.” Darik said to his friend.
“Not even a 'how are you Brom' back eh? Well that's to be expected from someone like you!” Brom said, he laugh “Well I got one last Stone for ya, I'll even give you a discount!”
“That is not necessary Brom, you work hard to get your merchandise.” Darik said and gave him the usual payment he always paid him. Brom laugh “Alright bud it matters not to me.” They said their farewells and Darik went to make his customer's bow. It took him six days exactly to make the bow and stood back to look at his work. “Man that's a fine looking bow.” Darik said to himself. The string was made with the birds beak melted down, infused with the lighting stone so that when the user strings the bow, that power is transferred to the arrow, so the owner only needs to make more arrows and he is ready for a hunt. So the user would not cut his hands, Darik used a bit of the bird's pelt and wrapped it around the middle with a slit so the arrow can get in. As for the bow itself, was made with the birds ribs.

The young man came back the next day. “Please did you finish the bow?” The farmer said “Yes yes I finished it, here you go.” Darik said giving the bow its new owner. “You may test it out on that rock if you would like.” The farmer looked confused but grabbed one of the arrows Darik made; nothing special, just something Darik threw together. The farmer strung the bow and took aim. As he released the arrow, a white flash of light exploded from the bow and obliterated the rock. The farmer looked at the Blacksmith in awe, then smiled. He thanked him, and went to his family and his farm to slay the beast he was so afraid of. Although the keyword is “was”.
